Animating a character one frame at a time
In stop-motion animation, puppets and clay models never actually move while the camera's shutter is open. Instead, animators make tiny physical adjustments between individual still photographs, relying on the spacing between poses and the playback frame rate to make our brains perceive continuous motion.
